Important! Following Storm Nils, the coastal path between Argelès and Cerbère, as well as the Albères massif, have been closed by municipal decree. Until further notice regarding reopening. Barriers have been put in place with information signs.

The Madeloc Tower

At an altitude of 656 m, the Madeloc Tower offers a 360° panoramic view of the Roussillon region, from the Massif du Canigou to Cap de Creus, via the Vermeille coast and the Albères. This walk literally blew us away. The exceptional views, culminating with the Tour Madeloc, will leave you speechless! This sporty walk, accessible from Collioure, takes a bit of effort, but is quickly rewarded! A stunning 360° landscape awaits!

The heights of Collioure

We love this very pretty walk, which passes by some of the must-sees: Notre Dame de Consolation, Fort Dugommier, Fort Saint Elme, the Windmill... Along the way you’ll come across terraced vineyards and panoramic views over Collioure and the Vermeille coast!

The coastal path or customs officer’s path

The coastal path is closed from Argelès-sur-Mer to Cerbère. Discover alternatives to the coastal path here.

We love this walk, which takes you between coves and beaches, vineyards and Catalan villages, sea and mountains! This is the perfect way to discover the wonders of the Vermeille coast along the coastal path, departing from Collioure! Walking, running, swimming… the coastal path is an endless playground for all abilities and whatever you fancy doing! For the return journey, we’ll be taking the €1 bus , which stops at “Valmarie” in Le Racou!

Fort Saint Elme

A pleasant, fairly easy walk with great views over the heights of Collioure! You’ll pass by many of Collioure’s monuments, including the Château Royal, the Museum of Modern Art, the Gloriette, the windmill and the Fort Saint Elme! At the end of the walk, the 360° panoramic view of the Vermeille coast is exceptional! From Fort Saint Elme, you can continue towards the Ermitage Notre Dame de Consolation.

Ermitage Notre Dame de Consolation

A very easy walk to explore the surrounding area and the vineyards before arriving at Notre Dame de Consolation! Once you get there, enjoy a picnic, a barbecue or just a drink and relax in this timeless, heavenly place! Want to extend your walk? Then head to the heights of Collioure!
