We look forward to seeing you on 21 and 23 September for the European Heritage Days in Collioure!

Two days where art and culture will be the watchwords as you discover Collioure's historical, military and artistic heritage. 


Openings of places usually closed to the public, guided walks, visits to free or low-cost sites… will be taking place in Collioure during these European Heritage Days.

Saturday 21st September :


1/ 10.00 am – Guided tour of the Antonio Machado route

Departure from the station – 2 hours

A guided tour of Antonio Machado's last days in Collioure, led by volunteers from the Foundation and the Espace Machado mediator.

The tour can be continued individually at the Château Royal, which is hosting an exhibition on the Retirada.


2/ 10 am and 2 pm – Visit the remarkable heritage of Collioure

Departure from the Saint-Vincent chapel – 1 hour

Follow Bernard Desclaux, vice-president of the Association Internationale du Clocher de Collioure, on a tour of the Saint-Vincent chapel, the semaphore and the church.


3/ 10 am and 3 pm: Guided tour Discover Collioure 

The meeting point for the tour is the Vitrine sur le Fauvisme (10 Rue de la Prud Homie, 66190 Collioure).

Come and discover the historical and artistic heritage of the town.

4/ 10am to 1pm – Free visit: Fort Dugommier

The FD2C association takes you on a guided tour of this historic monument, which is currently being restored, and shows you how stone is cut.

On foot via the ‘Balade des forts’ / by car via Port-Vendres / by mini-train, subject to availability (departure from Place du 8 mai 1945, Collioure).


5/ 10.30 am to 4.30 pm: Guided tours of the Château Royal: maritime heritage in the spotlight! 

Themed guided tours of the Château Royal de Collioure on the theme of maritime heritage.

6/ At the Royal Castle: all day long

– Explora, the invisible castle’ immersive show every 15 minutes

– permanent and virtual exhibitions

– temporary art exhibitions: Aigües Sébastien Frère, Combustions Benjamin Carbonne

– media tools available: booklets Les Faciles à lire, le Patrimoine en images and le Patrimoine au bout des doigts


7/ 2.30pm and 3.30pm – Introductory stone-cutting workshop

Fort Dugommier – approx. 50 min

For accompanied children only – limited to 12 children

Registration required: Tourist Office

Free – book online (registration closes at 4pm on Friday)


8/ 9pm: Night-time tour of the Château Royal de Collioure 

At nightfall, take a unique tour of the Royal Castle of Collioure with a two-part immersion experience in the company of the monument's guides: a panoramic guided tour and a Pierre de Coeur story.
