EVENTS AT THE ROYAL CASTLE

– Last admission: 45 minutes before closing time.
– The Château Royal is closed on 1 January, from 15 to 27 January, on 1 May, on 15 and 16 August and on 25 and 31 December.
– Guided tours: 10.30 am and 2.30 pm. Other times are available on request (contact the Château or the Tourist Office).

The Château Royal offers a number of activities every day:

1 – Exhibition “Ornaments and colours on facades in Catalan country – The identity of old buildings” until 11 January
As part of Architecture Month 2025, devoted to everyday architecture, this exhibition by the Conseil d’Architecture, d’Urbanisme et de l’Environnement des Pyrénées-Orientales highlights the identity of old Catalan buildings through their materials, renderings and decorations. It illustrates the architectural diversity of the department, from the coast to the mountains, and echoes the buildings of the Royal Château of Collioure, harmoniously integrated into the urban landscape.

2 – Exhibition by Thierry Delory – Voyages en Terres Catalanes until 23 October
This exhibition pays tribute to the sensitive work of Thierry Delory (1955-2023). Through his drawings in Catalan lands, the artist invites us to take a close look at life and its social and historical dynamics. Between observation and invention, his works testify to an art of free and passionate line, where emptiness and fullness dialogue to offer a narrative of the world.

2 – Explora immersive room (daily)
Embark on a journey back in time and explore the hidden areas of the castle. This immersive experience plunges you into the heart of the history of the Château Royal de Collioure.

3- Permanent exhibition “The exile of the Spanish republicans” and “The special Collioure camp” (daily)
Relive the difficult journey of the Spanish Republicans fleeing the dictatorship, with poignant accounts of their exile.

4 – Guided tours (daily)
Take part in fascinating guided tours of the Château Royal de Collioure. Regular times are 10.30 am and 2.30 pm, but other times are available on request. Please contact the château for up-to-date information.
