LA MAISON DE LA SCULPTURE DE BANYULS-SUR-MER" EXHIBITION AT THE CHÂTEAU ROYAL

The Maison de la Sculpture was created over thirteen years ago, in the heart of the Côte Vermeille, at the interface between sea and mountains. It was in 2012 that a few friends, fascinated by the art of clay modelling, founded this association in Banyuls-sur-mer. This village is the birthplace of the eminent sculptor Aristide Maillol, whose works can be admired on every street corner and square.

The Maison de la Sculpture workshop is home to around fifty sculptors from a wide variety of backgrounds, and is located in the heart of the village. All the artists in the association find their inspiration in the village’s historic and artistic heritage, as well as in the exceptional beauty of its surroundings.
