Cultural Activities

Due to its excellent location, Collioure has a rich and intense history. As both a large commercial port and a royal palace, Collioure has experienced moments of great prestige and commercial growth, and has been the home to various peoples. However, its strategic, cross-border location has led to numerous conflicts, causing the town to be destroyed multiple times. Due to its chequered history, Collioure has learnt how to pick itself up after a fall. Learn more about the town's history, by visiting the cultural heritage of Collioure and coming on one of our history tours in the Maison du Fauvisme,
